When you collect your new vehicle we will need to see your original driving licence (photo card) together with a recent utility bill in your name (gas, electric, water or home telephone bill). Please note that if the address on your driving licence is not for your current address, you should bring your current passport as proof of identity. If you are having difficulty providing the required identification please contact us.
If you are using a finance option provided through Pentagon then the applicant(s) (including any guarantors) must be present at the dealership to sign the finance agreement. This can be done when you collect your car or before collection. Please let us know as soon as possible which option you would prefer so we can prepare all the necessary paperwork in time.
Alternatively our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer. We also accept payment on the day of collection in the form of debit / credit card. Private cheque’s, building society cheques or bankers drafts can be accepted but delivery will be delayed until funds have entered our bank account (normally 10 working days). Please make cheque’s payable to Pentagon. We are unable to accept any cash payments over £500. Please ask your sales advisor how this can be done.
Please note that the finance company may charge an administration fee on your first payment. If this is the case your Sales Advisor will let you know you.
Yes. If you are considering part exchanging your current vehicle, we are able to provide you with an estimated valuation, which will be subject to us road testing and viewing your part exchange. Unfortunately, in some cases, we may need to view and road test a vehicle before we can give your part exchange price. For more information and to get your vehicle valued use this link.
If you are part exchanging your vehicle, due to the government legislation you must bring us the original V5 registration document and a current MOT certificate (if your vehicle is over 3 years old) together with any service history, book pack, locking wheel nut key, radio code, and spare key. It is the customer's responsibility to advise Pentagon, before a valuation is given, if a part exchange vehicle has been imported, has any damage, or if the vehicle has had bodywork repairs or insurance claims.
Yes, we can help with that. If you have a cherished (private) number plate and would like it transferring then please discuss how this can be done with your Sales Advisor.
If you have not already supplied it, don't forget that to tax your vehicle we require an original certificate of insurance or cover note with your new vehicle registration number on it. We will also need you to sign a 'Confirmation of Registration' form from the DVLA (which we will provide) if you are purchasing a new vehicle.
If it is more convenient for you, we can offer 3-7 days complimentary "driveaway"car insurance at participating sites (please check eligibility with the site before hand). This will cover you from the day you collect your car, giving you time to make your own insurance arrangements. The person named on the motor insurance cover note or certificate must be the customer named on the order form and, if applicable, the finance agreement.
We provide finance for people over 18. Finance at rates published on this website are available subject to status.
The minimum loan period is 12 months and the maximum term we can provide is 5 years.
Yes if finance is required. As with all other types of finance, in order to qualify our finance providers will have to carry out credit checks with credit reference agencies.
You can either apply online, call us, or in person at your local Pentagon dealership.
A PCP (sometimes called a Low Payment Plan) finance plan allows you to finance a car with lower monthly repayments than traditional Hire Purchase finance or a Personal Loan. With traditional methods of purchasing a car your payments are based on having to repay the entire cost of the car equally over the period of the agreement. However with PCP you are able to defer a proportion of the cost of the car as an optional final payment which is payable at the end of the agreement. A Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) is set based on the car's estimated value at the end of the agreement, which will be equal to the optional final payment.
At Pentagon you can be confident that we will manage your personal data in line with the principles of the Data Protection Act and GDPR. This framework balances the legitimate needs of organisations to collect and use personal data for business and other purposes against the rights of an individual and the privacy of their personal details.
Any personal information you provide to Pentagon may be used to contact you, process orders or claims on your behalf or for any other marketing purposes, now and in the future, including disclosure to other group members or necessary third parties (such as the manufacturer). If you would prefer this does not happen or is restricted, please call the Database Team on 01332 370708 (option 3) or email database@pentagon-group.co.uk. More information can be found here.
You can either collect your new vehicle from your supplying Pentagon dealer or we'll deliver your vehicle to your home or work address at a convenient time (the cost of this service would be agreed beforehand).
Collection of a vehicle (after purchase) at another Pentagon location can be arranged but is only available by prior arrangement. Unfortunately in some cases we can not offer this option.
As we have negotiated preferential discounts with manufacturers that your local dealer may not be able to offer, the prices we can offer vehicles at are often exclusive to us. We can arrange delivery though at a date and time of your preference (subject to terms and conditions).
All vehicles can be viewed and test driven at the vehicle's location by prior arrangement. To make an appointment please call us or enquire online.
Yes. Please click here for our opening hours, including Public Holiday opening hours.
These vehicles have been individually selected due to their excellent condition despite falling outside the criteria for a Pentagon Approved warranty (due to age and/or mileage). Ordinarily destined for the motor auction these vehicles are instead prepared to the same high standard as our Pentagon Approved cars and come with a 12 month MOT, full exterior and interior valet and a full HPI check.
At Pentagon we believe it is important for all our customers to have all the information on our vehicles and services before, during and after sale, whether bought over the internet or over the phone. The key features of our compliance to this regulation are that we will supply clear information, including details of the goods/services offered, delivery arrangements, payment details, our details as a supplier, prior information on your right to cancel before you buy and confirmation via email or letter when an order has been made. If you have made your purchase without visiting one of our branches your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them at the dealership and a deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. Please contact our Customer Care Team for more information.
To protect our customers we have vehicle mileages investigated by Vehicle Mileage Check Ltd (VMC). The mileage recorded on any vehicle may still be under investigation. The accuracy of its odometer reading therefore cannot be relied upon and should be disregarded until we can confirm the availability of the VMC report.
You pay for the Motability scheme by trading your weekly mobility allowance. The weekly price depends on the brand, model, trim level, engine and transmission type. With some vehicles, you’ll have some money leftover in your weekly mobility allowance whilst others take the full amount. Some cars will have an Advance Payment you have to pay first. You'll also find plenty of Motability cars with a £0 Advance Payment.
The Motability Scheme gives you a lease on a brand-new car in exchange for your mobility allowance. It also includes:
Eligible claimants swap their weekly mobility allowance in exchange for a lease on a brand-new car of their choice. You drive the car for three years (or you can extend it to five years) with everything you need included in the price. All you need to add is fuel!
To be eligible for the Motability Scheme, you must receive one of the following allowances with at least 12 months of payments remaining:
If you have less than 12 months, you’ll have to wait until your allowance is renewed.
You can’t apply if you receive a lower rate of mobility allowance. You can’t apply if you receive DLA and have been instructed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to apply for PIP (this won’t affect you if you already have a Motability vehicle.)
Parents of children over the age of three and non-drivers can apply, but the vehicle has to be used for the benefit of the claimant.
Just get in touch with your local #brandName# dealership and we'll start the application process for you.
We've worked with the Motability scheme since 1991. You get your own dedicated Motability accredited specialist who's there for you long after you drive away. There's no wonder why we are National Motability Dealer of the year 2 years running.
• Personal service by appointment
• Dedicated parking close to the dealership entrance
• Wheelchair-friendly access and disabled amenities
• Fully-trained Motability staff
• Accompanied and chauffeured test drives
You can get access, stowage and driving control adaptations to make your car more comfortable to drive. Many are completely free whilst some you have to pay for (but you may be eligible for a grant to help with the cost). All adaptation work is carried out by Motability-approved installers.
Certain cars aren't compatible with certain adaptations. That's why it's important to speak to us about any adaptation you need during the application process so we can best advise you on what to do.
Servicing and maintenance are included with the car so you don't have to pay anything extra. As you're driving a new car it's important to keep to your service schedule as this maintains its warranty.
Our friendly servicing team will get in touch when it's time to book in any routine servicing and maintenance.
If you have a five-year lease you'll also need to get an MOT in years 4 and 5. We'll also contact you to arrange this.
You may be able to buy your car at the end of the lease but you would have to finance it yourself.

The Advance Payment is an upfront cost that you need to pay for certain cars. This can be anywhere from £50 to £5,000 and over. The Advance Payment allows the Motability scheme to offer higher spec cars, but you still get an amazing deal even if there is a higher Advance Payment.
It’s a one-off, non-refundable payment that allows the scheme to provide more expensive models at an affordable price. All Advance Payment prices are agreed between the car manufacturers and the Motability Scheme. The cost is worked out based on the price of the car, future costs of servicing and maintenance and the resale value at the end of the lease.
You can reduce your Advance Payment at Pentagon by bringing your privately-owned car in as a part exchange. You could also choose a car with a low or £0 Advance Payment to keep costs down.
Getting Motability at Pentagon gives you peace of mind. You have the confidence that your Motability application is being handled by experts who have been working with the scheme since 1991.
We’re here to support all customers, from answering initial questions to handling the application for you.
Our care doesn’t end when you receive your vehicle. We’re here to support you through your whole lease and will be in contact to arrange regular servicing and maintenance.
