A: You exchange your mobility allowance for a lease on a brand new Ford. After choosing the model you want, the payments are taken from your mobility allowance every four weeks. Some cars cost less than your allowance, meaning you keep the difference. More expensive models may need a one-off Advance Payment. You can nominate someone to drive on for you, or you can get a Ford Motability car on behalf of someone under 17. The scheme gives those with reduced mobility a way to keep their freedom.
A: With Pentagon Motability, you get:
A: You get a total allowance of 60,000 miles on a three-year lease or 100,000 miles for a five-year lease. Anything over is charged 5p per mile. If you’ve done under 15,000 miles at the end of your lease, you may be able to extend your agreement for one or two years with a yearly mileage allowance of 20,000.

A: No, you can’t buy your car. But you do have three options when your agreement comes to an end. You can:
A: You can receive up to £600 if you give your Ford Motability car back in good condition after a three-year agreement. If you maintain the car properly, including paintwork, interior tyres etc., you’ll get a cheque in the post.
A: Only people who are nominated are able to drive the car, as long as it’s for the sole benefit of the claimant. For example, you could go to the shops, pick up medication or carry out other daily tasks for them.
A: Lead time varies for every model. One we’ve finalised your application together, we’ll let you know how many weeks until your new Ford car is delivered. If you already have a Ford on Motability, you won’t get your new model until the end of your current agreement.
A: If you need to change your model early, you need a valid reason. To do so, cancel your current lease and apply for another. There’s a £250 admin fee for changing models and you give up your good condition bonus as well. If you cancel your agreement more than three times in seven years, your future eligibility for the scheme may be affected.
