SEAT Personal Contract Purchase Agreement, or PCP, is one of the main types of car finance. You pay a deposit, put down monthly payments and can choose to buy the car at the end. It’s flexible too with your choice of loan term, annual mileage and deposit.

How does SEAT PCP work?

You put down a deposit and then pay monthly for the duration of your loan term. At the end of the agreement, you have the choice of buying the car with the balloon payment or returning it.

PCP finance covers the car’s depreciation rather than its actual value, which is why the monthly payments are typically lower when compared to other finance types. You won’t have to worry about depreciation either as it's covered in your payments.

Why get SEAT PCP?

The main draws of SEAT PCP are that you get low, fixed-rate payments, flexible loan terms and the option to own the car at the end.

With Hire Purchase, or HP, you put down a deposit and pay monthly. The main difference from PCP is that you’re paying for the value of the car so monthly payments are usually a bit higher than PCP.

But at the end of the agreement, you only need to pay a small Option to Purchase fee and the car is yours, and there’s no cap on annual mileage.

How does SEAT HP finance work?

HP is similar to PCP as there’s a deposit, monthly payments and an Option to Purchase fee at the end. But the main difference is that with HP you are paying off the car’s value, unlike PCP where you cover depreciation.

Your deposit is typically around 10% of the car’s price, with your monthly payments covering the rest of the car’s value. HP agreements tend to last from one to five years, depending on how much you wish to pay monthly.

Why get SEAT HP?

With a SEAT Hire Purchase deal there is no mileage cap, an affordable Option to Purchase fee and fixed rates.

If you’re not looking to own your car, there’s SEAT Personal Contract Hire. With PCH you get a brand new car for low monthly payments, with your choice of the latest models every few years. There’s also the option to include servicing and maintenance as part of your monthly payments, so you won’t have to worry about the cost of regular work.

How does SEAT PCH work?

PCH is ideal for anyone who is after low monthly payments and doesn’t want to own a car. It’s one of the most cost-effective ways to get a vehicle, as long as you don't mind handing it back at the end of the agreement.

You put down monthly payments and get a brand new SEAT car, with the option to include servicing and maintenance too.

At the end of your PCH agreement, you hand the keys back and choose your next brand new SEAT car. PCH has no option to purchase at the end.
