Slash Young Driver Insurance Costs With The New Vauxhall Adam From Pentagon

Pentagon Vauxhall are driving down the cost of motoring for the UK's youngest drivers by offering people aged 18-20 one year’s insurance cover for an astonishing one off payment of just £99 with orders of the brand new Vauxhall Adam Jam, Glam, Slam and Rocks Air.

• Vauxhall has teamed up with insurance provider Ingenie to get young drivers on the road in a fantastic new Adam and, as an added bonus, to reward good driving, each driver can also earn the entire cost of the insurance back with good driving.

  Each Adam is fitted with ‘black box’ technology which monitors driving style, including speed, acceleration, braking, and cornering. Every 10 days – or 40 miles – Ingenie will tell the driver a score based on how well they are driving, along with feedback messages via a smartphone app on how to improve, and how much money they’re on track to save.
  
  Vauxhall says that the black box technology – first used in the Corsa model last year – has been shown to encourage better driving, giving parents peace of mind. It can also save the driver hundreds of pounds on their insurance premium in year two! 

  Drivers aged 21-75 are also included in the deal. Those who are a little older can enjoy 12 months of insurance for free to help them save on their annual motoring costs.

  Customers can also benefit from Vauxhall’s Flexible PCP on a new Vauxhall Adam, which allows them to tailor their finance to suit their budgets. With deposits from zero upwards and a low 2.9 per cent APR, customers can select finance terms between 24 and 36 months to spread their payments over.

  As an example of the Flexible PCP offers available, the Vauxhall Adam Jam is available from just £164 per month with a £164 deposit, while the Adam Glam can be driven away from £175 per month with a £175 deposit at 2.9% APR.

£99 Insurance is available for drivers aged between 18-20 on all New ADAMS, excluding GRAND SLAM, when taken with a 2.9% PCP contract or a Contract Hire agreement through ALD. In all instances, the policy will provide 12 months ‘Comprehensive’ cover to the customer, and if required, up to 2 named drivers, who must both be family members aged 35-75 and detailed at the time the policy is taken out. A ‘black box’ will be fitted to the customer’s car to track their driving and provide regular feedback to the customer. Having paid £99 initially, the customers will be eligible after 3, 6, and 9 months for a return of up to £33 if they drive well. In addition, customers could benefit from an average first-year renewal premium of just £800. Please be aware, however, that cover could be cancelled for excessive speeding or consistently bad driving. Customers must meet the age criteria and take an ingenie Insurance Policy to qualify. All drivers must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 1 year to qualify for the offer.
