New Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition Deal To Help Young Drivers

Young drivers who have only recently passed their test are to be given a helping hand to get behind the wheel thanks to a new offer from Vauxhall. The manufacturer is currently offering one year's free insurance to buyers who opt for the new Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition model, on sale now at Pentagon.

  • The special offer is open to anyone between the ages of 21 and 75, while drivers aged between 18 and 20 can also enjoy a year's insurance by paying just £99. For the majority of newly-qualified drivers, this will represent a considerable discount on the price they would normally pay for insurance over 12 months.

The sleek contours and aerodynamic curves of the Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition mark this model out as a sharp-looking city car that is the perfect companion when zipping through busy streets. The full VXR exterior styling pack ensures the supermini is certainly not lacking when it comes to attitude and presence on the road, thanks to a lower front spoiler with a wide grille, flanked by front fog lights. Large, swept-back headlights sit on either side of the short bonnet. A sporty, colour co-ordinated body kit includes side sills, a rear lower skirt, rear spoiler, and a chrome-effect rear tailpipe. Black, 17-inch alloy wheels finish off the look perfectly. When it comes to colour schemes, buyers get to choose between Flame Red, Caron Flash, Chilli Orange, Glacier White, and Asteroid Grey. There's also a Flaming Yellow option for anyone who wants to make a statement and turn heads in their Corsa. A Carbon Flash black roof and matching door mirror housings also come as standard across the Limited Edition model range.

Step inside the three-door Limited Edition and the dynamic feel of the model continues thanks to sports-style front seats that ensure maximum comfort and support when you're pushing the car hard. The cabin features sports pedals and a leather-covered steering wheel, along with dark-tinted rear windows and colour-coded detailing including feature stitching and air vent rings. Overall there's a feeling that the car has been manufactured to meet the highest standards, thanks to the use of high-quality materials and attention to detail that's second to none. An array of technology, from air conditioning to cruise control, makes the Limited Edition even more desirable.

When it comes to performance, there's also a lot to get excited about with this car. The 1.2-litre engine is lively and responsive, making the Corsa fun to drive whether you are doing the daily school run or heading out into the mountains for a weekend away with a group of friends. The use of innovative technology also ensures the car's powertrain is fuel-efficient, helping to lower day-to-day motoring costs even further. There are few young drivers out there who are happy to spend their money at the local petrol station. All models in the range come with a shift-up indicator, which suggests the optimum time to change gear to maximise efficiency. The car's sports suspension, with adjusted spring and damper settings, makes tackling tight turns a lot of fun. In addition, progressive rate, variable-ratio power-steering results in an exceptionally dynamic and responsive driving experience.

And the news gets even better. Along with the offer of free insurance, Vauxhall is offering to pay the lump sum deposit of £2,451 on the Limited Edition model, meaning it is possible to drive away from the Pentagon forecourt having only paid the first of 35 monthly payment of £149.71. And thanks to an APR of 0%, there's no interest to worry about either.

One of the main reasons that young drivers find themselves landed with insurance premiums that very often run into many hundreds of pounds is because, statistically speaking, drivers aged between 17 and 24-years-old are more likely to be involved in a car accident. And because insurance companies are therefore more likely to have to pay out following an incident involving a young driver, premiums are higher as a result. Even though young drivers only account for 12 per cent of all licence holders, they are involved in a quarter of all serious accidents and fatalities on the roads.

Of course, many young drivers take the responsibility of holding a licence extremely seriously and have excellent records when it comes to safety on the roads. And thanks to a partnership between Vauxhall and telematics firm Ingenie, drivers aged between 18 and 20 who take advantage of Pentagon's Corsa Limited Edition insurance deal can prove that they have a safe style of driving as the vehicle will come fitted with the latest telematics technology. The Ingenie black box is a device designed to monitor the way a vehicle is driven and picks up on everything from the way the driver accelerates and brakes, to the way the vehicle is driven around corners and its general speed. The data is passed on to the team at Ingenie who produce a rating out of 100 every 10 days or so. Every three months the cost of the driver's insurance is reviewed and the higher the score, the more they're able to save on the cost of their annual premium. With the opportunity to claim up to £33 back every quarter, the Ingenie black box system is a great way for young drivers to get behind the wheel without paying huge insurance premiums, simply by proving that they are safe and steady on the road.

The Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition offer is available right now across Pentagon's network of dealerships. Anyone interested in finding out more about the deal can enquire online at or contact us on 0333 222 0424.
