Pentagon Vauxhall, located just off the Sheffield Parkway, will be hosting an evening where guests will get the opportunity to meet and receive autographs from the Steelers’ players.
Neil Rice, Sales Controller at Sheffield Pentagon, chose to support Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in memory of his brother, Carl, who passed away in 2007 aged 17, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Neil said: “Although Carl is sadly no longer with us, I promised myself that should the opportunity ever arise to raise money for the teenage unit at Weston Park Hospital, where he was treated so exceptionally well, I would make the most of it.
“With Pentagon being a sponsor for the Sheffield Steelers, it was the perfect chance to invite fans and business associates along to help raise money for such an incredible and local cause.”
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity for Weston Park Hospital and exists to support world-class cancer research, cancer treatment and cancer care.
The evening, which takes place from 4pm-8pm on Thursday 14th November at the Pentagon dealership, will give guests the opportunity of pitting their skills against the Sheffield Steelers players and have their photo taken with the team.
There will also be a raffle with some incredible prizes including Steelers season tickets, spa treatments and a cottage break in the Yorkshire Dales.
The money raised on the night will go towards the hospital’s specialist Teenage Cancer Unit; a unique ward that treats patients between the ages of 16-25 in an environment specially designed to meet the needs of young people.
Neil continued: “The staff on the teenage unit were absolutely brilliant throughout Carl’s care and my family will be forever grateful for all that they did in ensuring his final days were as comfortable as possible.”
You can support the evening by texting VAUX99 followed by a donation of £1, £2, £3, £5 or £10 to 70070.
