New Nissan Pulsar Revealed

Nissan has revealed the New Pulsar hatchback, due to debut in 2015. The car is a re-entry for Nissan in to the Family Hatchback segment as it is the first time they have launched a hatchback since the Nissan Almera. It will be in competition with the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus.

  • The 2015 Nissan Pulsar styling has been influenced by the Qashqai and X-trail models in the range and has been stamped with the trademark Nissan V-grille. From not only the styling, it also shares the same LED headlight technology and engine line up as the Qashqai.

The Nissan Pulsar will include the 1.2litre Dig-T petrol, 1.5DCi with 108bhp and the 1.6Turbo with 187bhp. The 1.5DCi with 108bhp model is the most economical in the range and qualifies for free road tax.

The Pulsar will feature Nissan’s Safety Shield system so the vehicle is expected to receive a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Nissan Safety Shield includes a lane departure warning system, 360 camera, emergency braking and blind spot warning. The vehicle will also be equipped with the NissanConnect system which includes sat nav and allows the customer to access their apps on their smartphone as well as stream music.

The new Pulsar will be produced in Barcelona, Spain, and we can expect prices to start from around £16,000.
