Pentagon Ready For More Fleet Growth After ISO 9001 Accreditation

Pentagon Group is confident of winning new business after they achieved ISO 9001 certification at their fleet distribution and operations centre in Derbyshire.

  • The fleet management division of the group has seen its fleet operation expand to around 14000 cars and commercial vehicles per annum in recent years thanks to a strong focus on customer service, the addition of more new vehicle manufacturers and a number of cost-cutting IT improvements.

The company believes that the addition of the international quality management standard ISO 9001 has strengthened its chance of winning new business when tendering for fleet contracts in the future.

Roy Sisson, General Manager of fleet operations at West Hallam who oversaw the successful certification added: “ISO 9001 certification is now a ‘must’ for all fleet operators who want to be taken seriously and I believe this can only open the door to new business opportunities in the future.

“By achieving this internationally recognised standard the whole team here at Pentagon have demonstrated their commitment to providing quality services and products to our customers, which I’m sure will be invaluable over the next few years as we compete for more private and public sector fleet contracts.”

"I’ve worked in many industries and it’s clear that management system certification is becoming more important than ever. For many companies it is a precondition to doing business, so it’s great that we’ve been able to prove our ability to provide a service that meets or exceeds both customer and regulatory standards consistently."
