  Over the past 12 months, Mazda has been releasing their next generation of cars, with the new CX-5 now set to follow the Mazda3 and Mazda6, both of which were released last year. All of the new generations of Mazda models are fitted with Mazda’s innovative G-Vectoring Control (GVC). GVC is the first in a series of new SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS technologies that provide integrated control of the engine, transmission, and chassis to deepen the sense of connection between car and driver that differentiates Mazda cars from their competitors. Based on the revolutionary idea of enhancing chassis performance with the engine, GVC is the world's first technology to adjust engine drive torque in response to steering inputs.

• Building On Strong Foundations

  There are many reasons why the current Mazda CX-5 is one of Mazda’s bestselling models. The previous-generation CX-5 offered superior interior space and practicality, which proved especially popular with families. So when redesigning the new model, Mazda has ensured they keep all the things that have made this car so popular whilst adding in the latest technology and giving both the interior and exterior a new exciting look.

  Although the SUV has only a slightly sportier exterior style, substantial changes on the inside are evident. Mazda has focused on making the interior as comfortable and functional as possible. The centre console has been raised and the 7-inch full-colour infotainment touchscreen has been simplified to make it easier to use.

  To keep the whole family comfortable and happy on the move the new SUV will also come with dual-zone climate control and heated seats in both the front and rear. Plus Mazda has added brand new suspension mats to the front two seats to lessen the impact of uneven road surfaces whilst all rear passengers can also enjoy additional comfort thanks to the new two-step reclining mechanism.

  Other specification highlights of the new model’s SE-L Nav trim include an in-built satellite navigation system, full LED headlights, DAB radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with speed limiter. The Sport Nav trim also includes additional specifications such as reversing camera, heated steering wheel, a powered tailgate, and keyless entry.
