Comedian Milton Jones has recently selected the Jeep Grand Cherokee as his main vehicle on his ‘On the Road’ tour across the UK. The car comes as part of a support deal with Jeep, bringing the entertainer to each location in style and comfort.
Having selected the Grand Cherokee 3.0 V6 CRD Overland 4x4 earlier in October, Jones is said to already be feeling the benefits. He recently told Jeep representatives that: “This is a big tour, and we have been zig-zagging across the country for months. If I had have put together a shortlist of cars I would love to tour in, the Grand Cherokee would have been top of it,” said the Time Out and Sony Award-winning stand-up.
Commenting on the Grand Cherokee he said “It’s got a comfortable, warm rear seat, we can plug our computers into the on-board USB ports, and, most importantly, it can take all my equipment – including a projector screen and two projectors – in its large boot.”
He also commented that “It’s good to know that Jeep is among the best when the going gets rough. We were travelling in heavy wind and rain recently, but the car felt steady and sure-footed on the road.”
The Jeep offers him the full power of 247ps and 570 Nm of torque from its 2987 cc V6 turbo diesel engine. The platform is said to deliver premium on-road performance whilst still offering Jeep’s legendary four-wheel drive technology if he needs it. Additionally, the comedian will get the benefit of the Grand Cherokee’s small fuel consumption, as the car only takes in 37.7mpg (combined), offering him great value in running costs.
