Pentagon In The Local Community
Since we opened our first dealership in Derby in 1991 we’ve worked hard to earn the trust and respect of our customers and employees by supporting some of the good causes that are important to the local community.
How Could We Help?
If you would like us to consider supporting your local charity or group, simply write to the General Manager at your local dealership about your charity or organisation and how you think we might be able to support you.
Remember there are many charities and organisations that would love our support and unfortunately we are unable to support everyone – so please accept our apologies if we have to say no on this occasion. Hopefully you'll be more successful next time.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity
Pentagon Vauxhall in Sheffield raised an impressive £1600 for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity last year, £1000 of which they raised in one evening with a little help from the Sheffield Steelers ice hockey team.

Wear it Pink supports the charities focus on Pink Science – a pioneering approach to breast cancer research that funds projects with the greatest potential to save and improve lives and ultimately find a cure.

Help For Heroes And The Arctic Heroes Challenge
In March 2013 an exciting charity expedition headed 800 miles north of the Arctic Circle to raise money for the Armed Forces charity Help For Heroes. We supported the expedition of 4 vehicles and 8 drivers as they took on the treacherous driving challenge to raise money for members of the British Armed Forces who have been injured serving their country.
The team used a specially adapted Jeep Wrangler 4x4 (donated by Pentagon) on their gruelling 4600 mile trip and Pentagon team members supported them all the way with a series of fundraising events at our dealerships across the country.
AC Manor FC
Here's AC Manor FC in their new strip (sponsored by Pentagon Vauxhall in Mansfield) for the first time.
Tickhill Juniors FC
Pentagon are proud to support Tickhill Juniors FC, a local Football Club developing the football skills of boys and girls aged 5 - 16.
Scunthorpe Support BBC Children In Need
Alex and Lisa from our accounts and administration department in Scunthorpe ran the ‘Run To The Beat’ half marathon in London raising a fantastic £570. To support them, at Halloween all the team came to work in fancy dress to raise extra money and help boost their fundraising efforts for Children In Need.
Pentagon And Movember
The team at Pentagon took part in last years Movember campaign and the mustaches grew nicely throughout November.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

A team of runners from our dealerships in the North West recently raised a massive £566 for Movember by completing the 10K Mo Run. Well done guys.
Pentagon Mansfield Supports The 6Five2 Taxi Fun Run To Skegness
Hundreds of Nottinghamshire children enjoyed a free trip to the seaside thanks to Mansfield taxi firm 6Five2 who organised for 50 taxis and four coaches to take 550 children and their families to Skegness for the day.
The trip - which included fish and chips, ice cream, beach games and a donkey ride - was organised for local children from Sure Start Centres and was supported by many businesses including Pentagon. This is a great cause that we're proud to be be involved with and we are looking forward to helping them again next year!

Football Shirt Friday And The Bobby Moore Fund
We raised over £1100 by taking part in Football Shirt Friday to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund. The fund was set up in memory of legendary footballer Bobby Moore - who died from bowel cancer aged just 51 - to raise money for research into bowel cancer and to increase public awareness of the disease. All we had to do was wear a football shirt to work!
Karate Prospect Courtney Rivers-Gallagher Sponsored By Pentagon
Congratulations to Courtney Rivers-Gallagher who has won three karate World Cup medals. The teenager - who is sponsored by Pentagon FIAT and Nissan in Huddersfield - triumphed at the World Kobukan Federation KIZUNA World Cup, taking gold in the kata and the team kumite for 15-17 year-olds and bronze in the senior team kumite.
An exciting prospect for the future, Courtney is a regular AMA (Amateur Martial Association) national karate squad member.
Tickhill Cricket Club
We're really happy to be a principle sponsor of Tickhill Cricket Club, a local team based in South Yorkshire with 5 senior and 7 junior teams. Following extensive fundraising the club opened their brand new building in July 2015. Mr Geof York, aged 94 and a half, had the honour of opening this new facility. Good luck to all the teams.
