The Peugeot 108 Set For Summer Launch

The Peugeot 108, intended to replace the 107, aims to be one of the lightest, efficient and compact cars in its class and will go up against the New Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo.

• The New 108 is set to be launched this July and will replace the current 107. It made its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year and has already had a lot of attention as Peugeot attempts to be seen as a more premium competitor in the mainstream car market.

  The vehicle will come in three trim levels; Access, Active and Allure and will have various personalisation options. When launched, the vehicle will feature a 1.0litre VTi with 68bhp in the entry-level model and a more powerful 1.2litre VTi with 82bhp, offering a five-speed manual or five-speed automated transmission.

  The New 108 will be styled a lot more sophisticated and hi-tech than before. The exterior features headlights and a grille similar to the new 308 and there will be three different body styles which include the three and five door and also the new 108 Top! which comes with a retractable fabric roof.

  The interior boasts a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, keyless entry and push-button start, automatic air conditioning and a boot that will hold up to 190 litres with the seats up. The touchscreen includes the MirrorLink system whereby in-car media can be controlled via Android, Windows and Blackberry Smartphones. Peugeot has also added their own Internet Radio Station “Peugeot Music”.

  On top of this, customers will be able to choose from a range of different personalisation options on the 108 such as eight exterior colour schemes and two amazing two-tone colours. The Top! Model will come with three roof colours which will be Black, Grey or Purple. There will also be seven themes for the interior including houndstooth and Tartan seat fabric, making it really stand out!
