The All-New Arona: SEAT’s Contemporary Compact CrossoverLast Updated: 20th Oct 2017
SEAT have revealed the brand new Arona, a chiselled new baby SUV, that will proudly sit alongside the Ateca when it arrives at Pentagon SEAT dealerships early next year.
The last 12 months have been extremely exciting for SEAT with the new generation of Ibiza and Leon cars hitting UK roads as well as its brand new SUV called the Ateca. SEAT are continuing this momentum by introducing another SUV to the range. The all-new SEAT Arona is heavily inspired by both the Ibiza and Ateca in terms of styling and specification although SEAT have ensured it has a few key differences to give it a truly unique look.
In recent years the compact crossover market has grown substantially with drivers looking for the practicality of an SUV whilst keeping the impressive fuel economy of hatchbacks. As demands for this type of car grows so does the number of options available to customers with the new Arona directly competing against the likes of the Peugeot 2008, Nissan Juke, Vauxhall Mokka X and the recently released Citroen C3 Aircross.
To help stand out from the competition SEAT are hoping the unique style and outstanding technology in the Arona will appeal to customers. The small SUV is expected to have full LED lights, adaptive cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, a wireless phone charging point, an 8-inch full colour touchscreen with Full Link (including Mirror Link, Apple Car Play and Android Auto), HD rear view camera with park assist, bluetooth, keyless entry plus so much more.
“We’re certain that the new SEAT Arona is the perfect answer to the current demands of our customers, in terms of dynamic behaviour, comfort, safety and state-of-the-art technology. We are once again setting new standards in the segment” says Dr. Matthias Rabe, Executive Vice-President for Research and Development.
Pricing for the all-new SEAT Arona starts at around £16000 and customers are able to order now with deliveries expected from early 2018. The trim levels mirror SEAT’s supermini range so customers can choose between the S, SE, SE Technology, FR and Xcellence trims. The FR trim is also likely to feature dual-mode suspension and a Drive Profile function which allows the car to be driven in normal, eco, individual or sport mode.
